Hailing from sunny Singapore, Christian Sia started his culinary journey first by going to Singapores premier culinary college, SHATEC. After graduating, Christian worked in some of Singapore's top restaurants, from Garibaldi restaurant which was voted top Italian restaurant in Singapore to Jaan Par Andre which was ranked #39 on the prestigious San Pellegrino World's 50  Best Restaurant List in 2010. 

 

In late 2010, Christian made the move from Singapore to Chicago to attend Kendall College. After Kendall, Christian worked in restaurants around Atlanta and Charlotte before finally moving back to Chicago to work at  the Michelin starred Moto Restaurant in 2013. At Moto, Christian found a family in his team and a place to stretch the limits of his creativity. After the closing of Moto, Christian found a new home at Dark Chef's as a consulting chef.
